Buying Advice for the Canon Powershot SX100 IS

The only essential additional purchase required with a digital camera is a memory card. The cards supplied with the camera (if any) are always very small and enough to hold approx 10 shots. The size of card suggested for each camera depends on how often you wish to download images onto your computer (the bigger the card the less times you will have to do this) and the resolution of the camera. If you have chosen a higher resolution camera it will require more memory per photograph take (Please see chart below).

If the camera you have chosen runs using AA Batteries we would strongly reccomend the purchase of an AA Battery Charger which is supplied with High Capacity batteries. This is only because digital cameras are very power hungry (mainly due to the LCD Screen) and if you run the camera using disposable batteries this will be very expensive in the long run.

These two factors aside any other accessory options e.g case etc is very much down to you as the customer if you actually want them.
