The Intelligent ISO Control function, made possible by the Venus Engine IV, detects subject movement and automatically adjusts the ISO setting and shutter speed to best suit the movement and light conditions.

The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) compensates for the blurring caused by hand-shake. It is now featured on the entire LUMIX range, and is highly popular with users around the world. The DMC-FX35(FX36) is the remarkable slim and sleek compact digital camera with a 25mm wide-angle* f/2.8 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens. Incorporating Panasonic's advanced optical technologies, this lens system is comprised of seven elements in six groups with four aspherical lenses / six aspherical surfaces, including a newly developed unevenly thick concave meniscus Extra High Refractive Index Aspherical lens (EA lens) and two dual-sided aspherical lenses. The newly designed lens system puts an unprecedented level of wide-angle performance in a slim camera body. Naturally, the lens meets LEICA's stringent standards. This high-quality lens combines high brightness and minimal distortion to capture 25mm wide-angle photos* with outstanding, corner-to-corner detail.

Panasonic is pleased to introduce the new Lumix DMC-FX35, its first 10.1-megapixel camera with astonishing 25mm ultra-wide-angle LEICA DC lens and 4x optical zoom (equivalent to 25mm to 100mm on a 35mm film camera). Capturing almost double the viewing space at the same shooting distance compared to ordinary 35mm cameras, the DMC-FX35 records remarkable images with unprecedented width and depth.

Panasonic has announced a new Lumix DMC-FX35 digital compact camera with a strong emphasis on simplicity on shooting. The new DMC-FX35 will come with lumix top of the range 10 megapixels and a 25mm ultra wide angle lens, a 4x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, as well as the ability to allow users to capture HD quality movies, at 720p alongside its still imaging qualifications.
